Long time no post… the Summer of Mann boys

September 16th, 2008

The longer one goes without posting on a blog, I suppose it lends itself to more content. Man, I’ve been dragging ass on keeping current with this site. The Mann family has been very very busy. It’s been a jam packed summer.

Ollie has been holding steady with six teeth for quite a while now. He’s a happy kid and started walking last Wednesday, just a few days shy of his first birthday which was Saturday Sept 13. DahDah, Mahmmmaahhhh [when he cries] and most recently “tickletickletickletickle” round out his vocabulary. Ramsey’s vocabulary is blossoming and he is a handful. He turned 3 July 13. He loves monster trucks, cars, rockets, planes, fishing and absolutely adores motorcycles. Running and jumping and dancing and asking questions non stop round out his top interests.

We took the boys camping to Sierra ButtesJuly 4th weekend. The morning and nights were hectic but the days were fantastic. Playing in the tent, hiking, swimming in crystal clear lakes and swatting mosquitoes were the main activities. Good times.

We went to the east coast for two weeks in August visiting at John and Karen’s [Poppy and Grammy Karen] and had a great time with Sara, Jeremy, Jackson and Benjamin in Annapolis Maryland and Nancy and Bill [Nan and Pop] in Duck, North Carolina.

Doing the bull dance, feeling the flow…

Oliver Kelly Mann now has 4 teeth, is a crawling machine and so wants to run around with his big bro. Double ear infection this past week did little to slow him down. Nothing indicates that Ramsey won’t be an excellent athlete. Everything athletic seems to come so easy to him. And he’s lightning fast. This is going to be fun. Ramsey enjoyed his PJ party at Mi Esqualita last night whilst mom and dad went out in SF. Man, it’s been a while. Lot’s of pics and movies to edit before posting. We’re all looking forward to summer visitors and travels. Adios.

Birthday song by Ramsey

April 15th, 2008

We spent my birthday in March in Tahoe and had a great time. June flew in from Austin and Tim flew down from Seattle. The snow was excellent and only outdone by the cookie cake. Here’s Ramsey in his first documented singing gig..

Ollie seven months

April 15th, 2008

Wow time is flying by. You may also notice a large gap in postings. I had a hard time locating my password for Wordpress but got it all sorted out. Ollie is now seven months as of yesterday and he is still chunky and very mellow. Two teeth and still plenty of ankle rolls. He’ll be crawling any day. Now, if he would just sleep through the night…. Ramsey’s vocabulary is growing daily and full sentences are now in the mix. More frequent postings to follow…

Ollie two months

November 24th, 2007

Wow is time flying! Ollie is two months old and in the 93rd percentile for weight for his age [ 14 pounds!!]. Ramsey is loving school and his vocabulary is growing each day. Here are som pics from October and Halloween.

Here is a recent vid of the boys

The Mann Boys

October 2nd, 2007

Ramsey is certainly enjoying his little brother. He always seems so proud of him and is already a little possessive of Oliver. We’re slowly getting used to the new routines. Pretty cute, I’d say…

Nan and Pop have been here for a few days and it’s been a really good visit. Gramma June arrives Saturday.

Welcome Oliver Kelly Mann !!!

September 16th, 2007

WELCOME OLLIE !!! Ramsey met his new baby brother Oliver Kelly Mann the day he was born, September 13th. Oliver was 9 lbs 4oz and just over 20 inches long. He was 10 days late. Mom was a trooper and Aunt Sara and Aunt Jessica and Uncle Joe are around to help out.

Details | Contractions started at 8:30 pm Wednesday night. We put Jess on alert around 10pm then she came over around 1am. We checked in the hospital at 2am and Oliver was born at 4:30am. We could not believe how big he was, especially when he got on the scale. Huge! Dona once again did a natural birth and we couldn’t be happier with our midwife Lindy Johnson. The nurse just stopped by the house and everything is good across the board. We can’t wait for you all to meet him.

Love,

Oliver, Ramsey, Dona and Stephen

Started School and Big Brother soon

August 16th, 2007

Ramsey started school and turned 2 in July (pics soon when Dad gets his new iMac tomorrow) and will be going to an even better school starting August 20th. His little brother is expected to arrive September 3rd, LABOR DAY (bahda bing). Mom has stopped working for a while and is ready to be unpregnant. Things are going good. Much more photo and video action coming soon.
